I too bought the plug in for new E61i (Note: buy site is in German til you get to PayPal). Once downloaded, it went well, with english language instructions in pdf. Follow the procedures (turn off computer bluetooth, phone blue tooth; restart them and then re-pair devices and isync started automatically) and it all worked flawlessly. All calandar and comtacts came through and operating well..

Jorma,

It looks like Mac OS X 10.4.9 has included a patch which adds native support for the Nokia E61 (and a number of other Symbian devices). As such, there should be no need to pay for the mactomster version.

I would be very interested to know what the mactomster version does better than 10.4.9 to warrant the price.

Just downloaded the new app at www.mactomster.de for the E50 and iSync 2.4 for €8. Worked without problems. Decent deal if you ask me.

Hi puramu,

Wow. Looks like you are correct. Mactomster is now charging about $10 (US) for the plugin. It's unfortunate that the plugin did not remain FREE, but I do understand Mactomster's need to cover their costs of hosting and supporting the plugin.

Now, for those that donated previously... Well, they should get a free upgrade!

Other places to check on the web include:

http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20060511162644120

http://the.taoofmac.com/space/HOWTO/Write%20iSync%20Phone%20Plugins

There are other for-pay options as well, like a plugin from Nova Media, I think.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the for-pay options handle everything correctly (like Birthdays, all-day events, etc).

Let me know if you find a better solution to this!

Thanks for this! This worked for me for a couple months now, but for some reason, my all-day events werent syncing. I visited the macomster site to see if there was a more recent version than the one I'm using and you have to pay for it now - haha - after I donated a few bucks to the guy. bummer.

[...] Note that if you use iSync with Mac OS X and follow my backup/restore instructions above, iSync will attempt to re-sync all of your Contacts and Calendar entries again.
